Paul Ndene, a member of Living for the Kingdom, has been awarded a prestigious full ride scholarship to attend Berea Theological University in Kusaka, Zambia!

Paul's story is one of remarkable resilience, faith, and devotion to God. Paul Ndene is from the Serer ethnicity, found on the southern edge of Dakar (Senegal's capital). Serers are predominantly Catholics, but after a few visits from missionaries, Paul's father started sending him to Christian services and small group meetings led by Hilario Chavez, a missionary from The Church of God in El Salvador. Paul gave his life to Christ during a Sunday service and soon got baptized.
After being called ministry, but with financial barriers looming large, Paul's path to higher education appeared daunting, but he persisted with his studies, engaged in community services, and took an active part in supporting the House of Life project in Nianing, Senegal. Throughout, his trust in God's plan for his life never wavered.
A Miracle Unfolds
Paul's receipt of a full ride scholarship to Berea Theological University is a cause for celebration. Berea is renowned for cultivating academic excellence and developing leaders ready to make significant contributions in both social and spiritual spheres.
The scholarship, encompassing tuition, room, board, and books for the entirety of his undergraduate program, will enable Paul to focus solely on his academic and spiritual growth without the concerns of financial hardship.
Celebrating God's Faithfulness
With immense joy, we recognize the steadfastness of God in providing for His children. Paul's educational journey, though certain to be challenging, is strengthened by the confidence that God's guidance is unfailing. The scholarship serves as a divine confirmation of Paul's path and a reminder that seeking the kingdom of God yields all the necessary additions to one's life (Matthew 6:33).
Building a Brighter Future
As Paul prepares to begin this exciting new phase, he carries with him not only our best wishes but all the prayers and support of everyone who is part of our ministry.
We are confident that his academic pursuit in theology will bring forth a deeper understanding of scripture and a robust capacity to spread the Gospel—the very essence of Living for the Kingdom.
In anticipation of Paul's future achievements, which will surely make a significant impact on both his community and beyond, we are reminded of the biblical promise in Isaiah 40:31, about those who trust in the Lord renewing their strength.
As we celebrate Paul's full ride scholarship, we do so with thankful hearts for the visible and invisible ways God moves in our lives. Paul's story serves as a vibrant reminder to all within Living for the Kingdom to live purposefully, strive for excellence, and to always remember that the love and guidance of God surround us continually.
